Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS programs, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure full compliance with all local, state, and federal EHS regulations and company standards.
- Conduct regular EHS risk assessments, inspections, and audits to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Lead incident investigations for all EHS-related events, determine root causes, and track corrective action completion.
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs to all employees to foster a strong safety culture.
- Manage hazardous waste, chemical inventories, and maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) in accordance with regulations.
- Monitor EHS performance metrics, prepare reports, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of progressive EHS experience, with a significant portion in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in relevant EHS regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA) and EHS management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
- Proven ability to develop, implement, and manage comprehensive EHS programs and policies.
- Strong leadership, communication, and training skills, with experience in incident investigation and risk assessment.
- Professional certification such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) highly preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
- Experience with EHS management software (e.g., Gensuite, Intelex, Cority) implementation or advanced utilization
- ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification
- Proven experience managing EHS-related capital projects and budgets
