Key Responsibilities
- Develop, validate, and optimize CMM inspection programs from CAD models and blueprints.
- Interpret complex engineering drawings, GD&T specifications, and 3D CAD data.
- Perform first article inspections (FAI), in-process, and final product measurements.
- Analyze measurement data, identify non-conformances, and generate detailed inspection reports.
- Troubleshoot CMM programs, fixtures, and machine operational issues.
- Calibrate CMM probes and ensure the accuracy and reliability of measurement equipment.
- Collaborate with quality, engineering, and manufacturing teams to resolve measurement challenges.
- Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).
- Strong understanding and application of GD&T principles.
- Ability to interpret complex engineering blueprints and CAD models.
- Solid knowledge of metrology fundamentals and measurement techniques.
- Experience with manufacturing processes relevant to part inspection.
- Troubleshooting skills for CMM programs and measurement discrepancies.
- Advanced proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, NX).
- GD&T Certification (e.g., ASQ GDTP).
- Experience with other metrology equipment (e.g., vision systems, laser scanners, optical comparators).
- Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles and applications.
