Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable, including processing vendor invoices and scheduling payments for raw materials and operational expenses.
- Handle accounts receivable, generating customer invoices for finished goods and services, and monitoring collections.
- Perform regular bank and credit card reconciliations for all company accounts.
- Maintain the general ledger, posting journal entries, and ensuring accuracy of financial data.
- Assist with payroll processing, including timecard verification and expense reimbursements.
- Generate basic financial reports such as profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Track and reconcile inventory movements and costs, specifically for raw materials and finished goods.
- 3-5 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and experience with ERP systems
- Solid understanding of GAAP and basic cost accounting principles relevant to manufacturing
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Associate's degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent professional certification
- Experience with ERP systems common in manufacturing (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
- Basic understanding of cost accounting principles (e.g., COGS, WIP, overhead allocation).
- Familiarity with inventory management and valuation methods specific to manufacturing environments.
- Experience tracking and depreciating fixed assets, particularly machinery and equipment.
