Description
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting (specifically in leases and fixed assets), a strong understanding of accounting principles, experience in managing diverse financial responsibilities, and a passion for accuracy and efficiency.
This role is crucial to maintaining financial records, performing reconciliations, financial reporting, and supporting analysis related to assigned areas of responsibilities.
Senior Accountant will report to the Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting Manager in Cranberry Township, PA. This is a hybrid position.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the company's lease and fixed asset activity, including capital project authorization and asset capitalization.
- Review and approve transactions, preparing necessary journal entries for leasing and fixed asset activity, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting principles (US GAAP).
- Conduct monthly reconciliations of leases and fixed assets.
- Prepare financial statement footnotes and respond to internal and external audit inquiries.
- Contribute to budget preparation and support financial forecasting activities.
- Provide timely assistance to external auditors during interim and annual audits with assigned areas of responsibilities.
- Provide financial analysis and reports to management to support decision-making.
- Assist with ad-hoc financial projects and tasks as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 3-5 years of related work experience
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP accounting and application, including ASC 842
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel).
- Familiarity with large-scale ERP systems such as SAP
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- CPA designation (preferred but not required).
