Systems Solutions Architect
Reports to: Director of Information Technology
Position Status: Full-Time/Exempt
Location: Hybrid/Remote, in person attendance will be required up to 4x per month, must live in PA
Starting Salary Range: $125,000
POSITION SUMMARY
As we embark on a major technology transformation—including Salesforce, NetSuite, and integrated donor and grantee portals—we are seeking a Systems Solutions Architect to guide the design, governance, and ongoing optimization of our Foundation ecosystem.
The Systems Solutions Architect is responsible for the overall design, scalability, security, and integration of the organization’s core system environment. This role is critical in translating business requirements into reliable, innovative solutions and ensuring seamless integrations across platforms such as Salesforce, NetSuite, our data warehouse, donor and grantee portals, and other nonprofit-focused applications.
The ideal candidate will have deep Salesforce expertise, strong experience working with nonprofits, familiarity with NetSuite financial systems, and a proven ability to manage complex, multi-system integrations.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain the overall architecture, design, and roadmap for the Foundation’s core ERP& CRM systems, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Partner with IT leadership, Foundation staff, and vendors to translate business needs into scalable solutions.
- Oversee integrations between Salesforce, NetSuite, the data warehouse, Experience Cloud portals, and third-party applications (e.g., Conga, Adobe Sign, Fundraise Up).
- Design and architect Salesforce workflows that integrate with all systems, including oversight of change control and maintenance.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to Salesforce Administrators, vendor developers, and project managers.
- Monitor and manage Salesforce seasonal releases, upgrades, and platform changes, including impact assessments and testing.

- Ensure data integrity, uphold governance standards, and apply security best practices across the Foundation’s technology systems.
- Recommend and implement new features, tools, and automation to improve efficiency, reporting, and user experience.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure end-user adoption and continuous improvement of Salesforce solutions.
Collaboration & Team Structure (Years 1–2):
- Collaborates closely with a lean IT team that includes a Salesforce Administrator, Project Manager & Business Systems Specialist, and IT/AV support staff.
- Provides technical leadership and mentorship to the Salesforce Administrator, ensuring effective configuration and adoption while maintaining alignment with architectural standards.
- Partners with the Project Manager to support change management, end-user adoption, and training during the early phases of system implementation.
- Collaborates with the Director of IT to align departmental structure and staffing with the Foundation’s long-term technology strategy, ensuring a smooth transition as the IT team expands (e.g., adding roles such as a second Administrator or IT Support Technician in Year 2 and beyond).Collaborate closely with the Foundation’s accounting and operations teams to ensure cross-functional workflows remain stable.
- Brings prior experience leading technical teams, mentoring junior staff, or coordinating cross-functional project teams to deliver scalable Salesforce and integration solutions.

QUALIFICATIONSAND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of Salesforce experience, including 2 years in an architect or senior technical role.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce data modeling, security, automation and integration patterns.
- Salesforce Non-Profit Cloud and Experience Cloud Preferred
- Experience with OmniStudio (OmniScripts, FlexCards, Integration Procedures, DataRaptors).
- Experience with using Azure Dev Ops or similar DevOps tool for code deployment between SF sandboxes and production
- Experience with building and updating Salesforce Flows, Apex classes and triggers, Lightning Web Components, Omni Scripts
- Proven experience managing complex integrations (API, ETL, middleware, OmniStudio, or similar tools).
- Experience working with nonprofits, including donor management, grants management, or fundraising systems.
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite or similar financial/ERP platforms.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business terms.
- Salesforce certifications (Application Architect, System Architect, Integration Architecture Designer, etc.).
- Familiarity with data warehouse solutions and business intelligence tools.
