What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sous Chef position at THE PIG Hotel | B Corp?
Location: THE PIG-in the South Downs, Madehurst, BN18 0NL
Pay package: OTE £41,122 per annum (OTE £19.72 per hour including Tronc)
Hours: 40 hours per week, over 5 days Paid Overtime.

Where else do chefs have access to their own homegrown kitchen garden to create menus, which change all the time. What we cant grow, we source from local suppliers within a 25-mile radius.

You will assist the the Head Chef in the running of the kitchen, managing one of the 4 sections, providing new ideas for the menu, and managing health and safety, ordering and rotas.
We’re seeking Sous with confidence and ability to support a dynamic team. Our Sous' can experience what we offer at more than one of our properties, as well as stepping up into a Senior Sous role.
Knowledge of all areas of the kitchen is essential.
We want you to be as passionate about modern British food and sustainability as we are.
Previous experience in a similar role is necessary.
Can you remember who inspired you to be a chef, can you do this for someone else and share your knowledge with the junior chefs?
We run an award-winning apprenticeship programme, as a Sous chef you will take an active role in leading, teaching and inspiring the apprentices.
