Dependable part-time Innkeeper/housekeeper needed to carry out the day to day operations of a busy bed and breakfast. This position is physically demanding and requires long hours on your feet. Reliability and a positive attitude are a must. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work (cleaning, laundry and kitchen work), takes pride in details, and is comfortable interacting with guests.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of guest rooms, common areas, and public spaces to the highest standards of hygiene and presentation
- Perform detailed cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping floors, changing linens, and sanitizing bathrooms
- Set-up and manage breakfast buffet and coffee service
- Continually wash and fold laundry
- Assist with breakfast preparation work
- Provide a warm and friendly atmosphere for guests
- Assist with guest check-in/check-out as needed
- Respond to in-house guest calls and questions
Requirements
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting (~35 lbs.), bending, climbing stairs (3 story building) and standing for extended periods
- Experience in housekeeping, hospitality, or cleaning
- Food handling experience
- Experience serving in a fine dining atmosphere is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as a team
- Friendly, effective, professional communication and customer-service mindset
- A positive attitude dedicated to delivering outstanding hospitality experiences
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance a must
- Availability to work holidays a must
