Role Overview:
The Temporary Attorney Recruiting Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting attorney hiring programs, including summer associate and lateral attorney recruitment efforts, within a prominent law firm setting. The position requires extensive administrative coordination, collaboration with legal and recruiting teams, and ensuring operational efficiency throughout busy hiring cycles.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing summer associate and lateral attorney recruitment initiatives
- Manage scheduling, communication, and onboarding activities for attorney candidates in partnership with hiring managers and legal teams
- Oversee applicant tracking systems (ATS) and candidate databases (e.g., LawCruit, Symplicity, Legal.DATA) to maintain accurate, current candidate information
- Prepare interview materials, offer letters, and related documentation ensuring compliance with firm procedures
- Provide administrative support such as calendar management, travel arrangements, and correspondence for recruiting teams
- Support special projects and coordinate tasks during high-volume hiring periods, adhering to firm policies and deadlines
Core Qualifications & Requirements
- Prior experience supporting legal, professional services, or corporate legal recruitment, HR, or administrative functions in a law firm or professional services organization
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, capable of managing multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with legal professionals and recruiting teams
- Flexibility to support temporary, seasonal roles during busy hiring seasons and summer programs
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) such as LawCruit, Symplicity, or Legal.DATA
- Knowledge of attorney recruiting practices, summer associate programs, and legal hiring policies
