Refrigeration Technician

Company: The Wirth Group Location: Wilmington, MA

This position is with a longstanding and expanding CPG firm in southern New England.

In This Role, You Will Be Responsible For

• Ensuring the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of ammonia refrigeration equipment throughout the facility.
• Managing PSM, CMMS, EPA and all relevant refrigeration documentation.
• Troubleshooting electrical and motor controls, bio chillers, compressors, fans, pumps, freezers, etc.
• Manage and work on preventive maintenance programs to help improve performance, reduce refrigerant loss, and control expenses.
• Respond to emergency calls as needed
• Monitor leak detection system

The ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience with ammonia-based refrigeration systems. *Please note that this is a 3rd shift position (10pm – 6am).
