HVAC & Refrigeration Mechanics are vital to our Utilities and Building Maintenance Departments on campus at UMass, Amherst.
In this role you will install, maintain, operate, repair and/or initiate repairs on building systems such as pneumatic/electric, electronic, electro-mechanical controls, refrigeration, air conditioning, equipment and related heating and ventilation (HVAC) systems, and their related controllers and controlled devices.
You will also have the opportunity to employi the use and need of specialized testing and monitoring, diagnostic equipment; work synchronously with Control Technicians / trade personnel maintaining the building systems integrity, and exercise functional supervision of other employees performing related repair and maintenance activities.
