Job Title: Apprentice, Pool Industry

Salary Range: $ 18.00 To $20.00 Hourly

Job Focus

Perform routine pool cleaning and maintenance services while ensuring safety, water quality, and proper equipment operation.

Key Skills & Knowledge

• Safety compliance and awareness
• Basic understanding of water flow systems
• Fundamental knowledge of water chemistry, including adjustments and balancing
  
  

Responsibilities

• Perform basic pool cleaning tasks, including vacuuming, brushing, skimming, and cleaning baskets
• Test and adjust water chemistry to maintain proper balance and water quality
• Inspect pool equipment to ensure proper function and operation
• Identify, document, and report issues requiring repair or replacement
• Follow safety guidelines and company procedures at all times

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of water chemistry and pool maintenance principles.
• Familiarity with safety practices and ability to follow safety protocols.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting 25–50 lbs, bending, and working outdoors.
• Reliable transportation or ability to get to work consistently.
• Good attention to detail and ability to document observations accurately.
• Strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills in pool operations.

Salary Range: $ 20.00 To $24.00 Hourly

Focus

Learn fundamental field service skills for advancement by shadowing and supporting more experienced technicians.

• Perform routine service tasks under supervision
• Assist with equipment installation, repairs, and preventive maintenance
• Accurately document work performed
  
  

Growth Goal

Build a strong technical foundation and confidence in troubleshooting to support advancement to higher-level technician roles.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of water chemistry and pool maintenance principles.
• Familiarity with safety practices and ability to follow safety protocols.
• 1 year of relevant experience in a service or trade environment
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting 25–50 lbs., bending, and working outdoors.
• Reliable transportation or ability to get to work consistently.
• Good attention to detail and ability to document observations accurately.
• Strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills in pool operations.
• Basic understanding of electrical and electronic applications and low/high voltage wiring systems and applications is a plus
• Basic mechanical & HVAC heating system knowledge (role-dependent) is a plus

Salary Range: $25.00 To $30.00 Hourly

Focus

Perform standard service tasks independently while delivering reliable field support.

Skills

• Solid troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Effective customer communication
  
  

Responsibilities

• Complete service calls independently and efficiently
• Diagnosing and repair both basic and advanced service issues
• Provide clear, timely updates to customers and supervisors
• Occasionally mentor and support Service Technician I team members
  
  

Growth Goal

Develop into a dependable, independent field/service lead technician.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of hands-on service or field technician experience (or equivalent combination of experience and training)
• Demonstrated ability to complete service calls independently
• Solid troubleshooting and diagnostic skills to include LV wiring testing & repair
• Basic & Advanced understanding of mechanical, electrical/electronic equipment repair knowledge (role-dependent) LP & Natural Gas, Solar, Geothermal and HVAC heating experience is a plus
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and supervisors
• Willingness to mentor and support entry-level technicians as needed
• Strong commitment to safety compliance and company procedures
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record (if applicable)
• Ability to document work accurately and timely
