About the Role:
We’re seeking a driven and detail-oriented Assistant Event Planner to support our Event Director in business development and producing high-energy, high-impact events—primarily within Fraternity and Sorority Life, including local and destination events.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, has a background in Greek Life, and is eager to gain hands-on experience in all aspects of event sales, production and planning.
Responsibilities Include:
- Driving New Business Development: Proactively identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities within Greek Life and the broader college event market.
- Lead Management: Managing and filtering incoming sales leads, phone calls, emails, and inquiries to maximize conversion.
- Strategic Support: Supporting the Event Director in daily operations and long-term business growth strategies.
- Event Coordination: Booking and coordinating all logistical event details from conception to completion.
- On-Site Execution: Attending and assisting with high-energy, on-site event execution to ensure client satisfaction.
- Operational Support: Running errands and handling miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
- Team Growth: Assisting with the onboarding and orientation of new staff and interns.
- Brand Marketing: Supporting marketing and social media efforts, including creating light graphic designs (flyers, logos, etc.) to attract new clients.
Required Qualifications:
- Former member of a sorority or fraternity (REQUIRED)
- Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
- 2 years involvement in Greek Life (e.g., officer or committee role preferred)
- 1 years in event management, customer service, or operations (preferred)
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Problem solver who thrives under pressure
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed
- Team player with a can-do attitude
Schedule:
- 8-hour shifts
- Weekdays, evenings, and weekends as needed
- Some overnight and travel opportunities
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
