Role Overview
The Shake Bar & Supplement Nutritionist is the go-to expert for making delicious shakes, recommending supplements, and helping clients choose nutrition options that support their health and fitness goals. This role blends hands-on product preparation with education and customer engagement to drive sales and improve client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Shake Bar Operations
- Prepare shakes, smoothies, and nutritional drinks according to recipes.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with food safety standards.
- Track shake bar inventory and place orders before stock runs low.
Supplement Sales & Education
- Educate customers on the benefits, usage, and safety of supplements.
- Match supplement recommendations to individual goals (weight loss, muscle gain, energy, recovery, etc.).
- Maintain and merchandise supplement displays to maximize visibility.
- Track supplement inventory, reorders, and sales reports.
Customer Service
- Greet every customer and create a welcoming, helpful environment.
- Answer product-related questions in clear, easy-to-understand language.
- Follow up with clients on product satisfaction and reorders.
Team Collaboration
- Work with PTs/trainers to coordinate client supplement plans.
- Help develop new shake flavors or supplement promotions.
- Assist in running Shake Bar & Supplement events, workshops, or demos.
Skills & Qualifications
- Nutrition, dietetics, or health/fitness-related certification (preferred).
- 1–2 years’ experience in food service, shake bars, or supplement sales.
- Strong communication skills and approachable personality.
- Knowledge of basic nutrition and supplement safety.
- Ability to manage inventory and keep a clean, organized workspace.
Performance Metrics
- Monthly shake sales vs. target.
- Supplement sales growth.
- Customer satisfaction/return rate.
- Inventory accuracy and shrinkage control.
