Application Support Specialist (ERP/MES Support)

💰 Salary: $75,000–$90,000, depending on experience

We're looking for an Application Support Specialist to join our internal IT team in Long Valley, NJ. In this fully onsite role, you'll provide day-to-day support for critical business systems—including ERP, MES, and other enterprise applications—ensuring our operations run efficiently and our users receive exceptional support. What You'll Do

• Provide first-line support for internal business applications, including ERP, MES, office productivity tools, and other enterprise systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve user issues involving software, user access, system configurations, and application-related hardware.
• Log, prioritize, and manage incidents and service requests through the ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication.
• Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or third-party vendors following established support procedures.
• Support new employee onboarding by creating accounts, assigning ERP/MES roles and permissions, and providing basic application training.
• Develop and maintain knowledge base articles, FAQs, and user documentation to improve support efficiency.
• Assist with application upgrades, enhancements, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Partner with Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, and other business teams to improve system usage and business processes.
• Maintain inventory records for Manufacturing Technology equipment, ensuring accurate tracking of hardware and related assets.
• Take ownership of daily application support activities, enabling senior IT staff to focus on strategic initiatives.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in IT Support, Help Desk, or Application Support, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience supporting business applications; ERP and/or MES experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and time management skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Long Valley, NJ, Monday through Friday.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to independently drive issues to resolution.
• Experience managing inventory and asset tracking for Manufacturing Technology equipment.
• Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to collaborate and proactively engage colleagues to resolve issues quickly.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting ERP and/or MES platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Infor, Microsoft Dynamics, Epicor, or similar.
• Experience creating user documentation, training materials, or knowledge base articles.
• Background supporting manufacturing, warehouse, production, or shop-floor users.
