What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of People & Culture position at The People Brand?
We are hiring a Director of People & Culture to serve as the architect of how the organization scales.
This is a high-impact, strategic role focused on talent acquisition, organizational design, and workforce planning — not rebuilding HR infrastructure. The foundation is in place; now the focus is on building the right team, structure, and culture to support rapid growth.
This individual will partner directly with the CEO and leadership team to shape the future of the organization.
What You’ll OwnTalent Acquisition & Workforce Planning (Primary Focus)
Own and scale full-cycle recruiting across all functions
Build a forward-looking hiring roadmap aligned to growth targets
Develop employer branding to attract top DTC / fitness / ecommerce talent
Implement structured hiring processes, interview frameworks, and onboarding programs
Manage external recruiting partners and agencies
Design org structures to support 2x growth
Define reporting lines, team composition, and spans of control
Build workforce plans aligned to business priorities
Lead leadership development and succession planning
Drive organizational change as the company evolves
Define and operationalize company values across the organization
Lead employee engagement initiatives and action planning
Build recognition and retention programs
Serve as a trusted partner across all levels of the organization
Implement performance review frameworks and goal-setting processes
Coach managers on feedback, development, and team leadership
Build career pathing and employee development programs
Maintain and evolve compensation structures and benchmarking
Oversee benefits programs and vendor relationships
Ensure compliance, HR systems, and policies remain current and effective

Who You AreExperience
8–12 years of progressive HR / People experience
Strong background as an HR Business Partner in a high-growth environment
Proven experience in organizational design and workforce planning
Demonstrated success building or scaling recruiting functions
Experience in DTC, ecommerce, CPG, apparel, or active lifestyle brands preferred
Experience supporting a company through significant growth (e.g., $50M → $150M )
