Job Summary
Join our dedicated team as a Full-Time Direct Support Professional working overnight shifts from 11pm to 7am! Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols and document all medication activities
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing routine cleaning tasks and adhering to infection control standards
- Communicate effectively with residents, family members, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Follow resident rights policies diligently, respecting individual preferences and confidentiality at all times
- Respond promptly to emergencies using first aid skills and CPR when necessary, ensuring safety for all residents
Qualifications
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly desirable
- Experience working with individuals with developmental or cognitive disabilities is advantageous
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional training in safe patient lifting practices is a plus
- Ability to operate standard passenger vehicles for community outings or appointments if needed
- Strong communication skills with an empathetic approach to caregiving
- Demonstrated understanding of resident’s rights and ethical caregiving standards
