The Pawms Pet Resort is looking for a Kennel Tech to join the team at our Vestavia location!
Our Vestavia location is a busy, full-service pet resort offering boarding, grooming, daycare, and training services. We are looking for a full-time Kennel Tech who is a dependable team player, passionate about animals, has a good attitude, and is accountable. Details on the Kennel Tech position can be found below.
Requirements Include:
- Availability on weekends and holidays
- Availability to work a 6am - 3pm shift, 10am - 6pm shift, or similar shifts
- Access to reliable transportation and live within a 20 - 25 minute drive
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Dependability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
- A positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions, safety protocols, and established procedures
- Comfort handling dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being
Responsibilities Include:
- Providing daily care for boarding and daycare dogs and cats
- Supervising daycare of dogs ranging in size / weight
- Walking dogs, bathing dogs, cleaning and sanitizing kennels
- Taking instruction from a supervisor
- Other cleaning activities (e.g., mopping, vacuuming)
Physical Requirements:
The Kennel Tech position is an active, hands-on position. Applicants must be comfortable spending most of their shift on their feet, engaging with clients, working with animals, and working both indoors and outdoors.

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
