We are seeking an experienced and compassionate ADON / MDS Nurse (RN) to join our leadership team. This dual-role position supports the Director of Nursing with daily clinical operations while overseeing the MDS and care planning process to ensure quality resident care and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily nursing department operations and staff supervision
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Coordinate MDS assessments and interdisciplinary care plans
- Lead care plan and Medicare/Utilization Review meetings
- Monitor resident care, assessments, and documentation accuracy
- Support QAPI and performance improvement initiatives
- Conduct nursing rounds and staff education as needed
- Collaborate with therapy, nursing, and interdisciplinary teams
- Current RN license in practicing state
- Minimum 2 years of MDS experience in long-term care
- Supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Knowledge of MDS, Medicare, and long-term care regulations
- CPR Certification required
