The Patuxent River Naval Air Museum is seeking a Part-Time Visitor Services Associate to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Greet visitors warmly and provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive first impression
- Assist guests with admission sales, membership inquiries, and general information about exhibits, museum layout or events/offerings
- Process admissions and retail sales transactions accurately using a POS system while adhering to proper cash handling procedures
- Resolve guest concerns or conflicts promptly and professionally using effective conflict management techniques
- Assist in the museum gift shop, including sales, restocking, and maintaining a clean and organized retail space
- Track and report visitor statistics as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of visitor areas, ensuring safety standards are met at all times
- Serve as a daily point of contact for museum volunteers
- Answer and direct incoming museum phone calls
- Monitor museum activity via security systems to help ensure guest safety and protect museum assets
- Open and close the museum facility in accordance with established procedures
- Perform administrative, clerical, and general nonprofit support duties as assigned
Skills & Attributes
- Proven experience in customer service or guest services roles with a friendly and approachable demeanor.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
