About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dependable Seasonal Event Specialist to support a series of outdoor events designed to bring visitors and the community together in Downtown Haddonfield. Known for its charming, welcoming atmosphere, Haddonfield’s business district is home to a vibrant mix of locally owned shops, restaurants, and personal services. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys engaging with the public, thrives in a lively environment, and takes pride in helping create memorable community experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the setup, execution, and breakdown of outdoor events
- Serve as a welcoming presence for attendees, providing information and directions
- Interact with local retailers and build positive working relationships
- Support event logistics, including vendor coordination and crowd flow
- Handle basic event equipment and materials (tents, signage, tables, etc.)
- Ensure events run smoothly and safely while maintaining a positive atmosphere
Communication Skills:
- Must have access to a personal smartphone for work-related tasks.
- Possess basic social media management experience
- Demonstrate the ability to identify and capture social media opportunities
- Maintain prompt, clear, and professional communication skills.
- Represent the spirit and hospitality of Downtown Haddonfield
Working Outdoors:
- Must be comfortable working outdoors for extended periods
- Including long hours in varying weather conditions.
- Perform outreach tasks such as distributing flyers and visiting business storefronts.

Qualifications:
- Prior event experience preferred (minimal experience acceptable)
- Strong customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Comfortable interacting with the public and working in outdoor environments
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including nights/ weekends
- Team-oriented with a proactive attitude

Pay: $27.05 - $29.95 per hour
