Job Summary
The Episcopal Parish of St. Clement is seeking a dedicated, hardworking, and organized Parish Administrator with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. This role involves managing various financial responsibilities for the parish, organizing events, and supporting the priest, all while promoting a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for the faith community. The Parish Administrator will interact with a diverse range of individuals, including church members, school staff, representatives from external organizations, and outreach clients from different backgrounds.
In this role, it is vital not only to perform well in office tasks but also to engage effectively in people-focused activities, as the office manager works closely with diocesan staff, the priest, the sexton (or groundskeeper), the bookkeeper, and the vestry (or parish council). The parish administrator efficiently manages a wide range of responsibilities, demonstrating quick thinking and practical problem-solving skills. Duties include recording donation receipts, producing monthly newsletters or weekly service leaflets, and ensuring the smooth operation of all church and rental events. Although the job can be demanding, it is also rewarding, especially in outreach ministry. Benefits include assigned on-campus parking, healthcare, and retirement plans. Previous experience in office management is required, while experience in HR is advantageous.
This is a full-time position offering an hourly wage commensurate with experience. Additionally, a comprehensive benefits package is provided, including health insurance, paid time off (PTO) after a probationary period, and a pension through a 403(B) plan.
