This position is primarily based in Surry County
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited program in a related field of study and one year of human services experience
Responsibilities:
- Provide support and assistance to individuals and families involved in child protective services, juvenile justice system or who have experienced trauma
- Conduct assessments and develop care plans for clients
- Collaborate with social workers, behavioral health professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure the well-being of children and families
- Utilize crisis management techniques to de-escalate high-stress situations
- Implement interventions and strategies to address behavioral issues and promote positive outcomes
- Coordinate and facilitate meetings with clients, service providers, and community resources
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client interactions and progress
Skills:
- Strong background in child protective services, social work, or related field
- Knowledge of behavioral health principles and crisis intervention techniques
- Experience working with children and families in various settings
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage conflicts and resolve issues effectively
- Familiarity with child welfare policies and procedures
- Proficient in using computer systems for data entry and record keeping
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and priorities
