Buying Operations Coordinator

Role Summary

The Buying Operations Coordinator supports the continued development of the Buying Operations function through day-to-day coordination, cross-functional projects, process improvement, and problem solving. This is an entry-level opportunity for someone who is curious, adaptable, analytical, and eager to learn.

This role offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to multiple areas of the business, including Buying, Merchandising, Planning, Supply Chain, and Distribution. As the function continues to evolve, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute ideas, support new initiatives, and grow alongside a developing team.

What you'll do

• Support day-to-day Buying Operations activities and projects, as assigned.
• Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives that help shape the future of the Buying Operations function.
• Assist in developing and improving processes, documentation, goals, and performance measures for the evolving Buying Operations function.
• Coordinate information and follow-up across Buying, Merchandising, Planning, Supply Chain, Distribution, and other business partners.
• Collect, organize, and analyze information to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare and maintain reports, trackers, presentations, and other business materials.
• Track vendor compliance, manage chargebacks, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with vendor and product-related coordination, including documentation, communication, and follow-up.
• Learn and use new systems, Microsoft 365 applications, and AI-enabled productivity tools to support team priorities.
• Take on new responsibilities and special projects as the team and function continue to develop.
• Occasionally travel to the Distribution Center based on business needs.

Who you are

• Be a TPS brand ambassador.
• No prior Buying Operations experience is required.
• We are looking for someone who is curious, adaptable, eager to learn, and excited to grow in a developing function.
• Business-related education or experience is a plus but not required.
• Curious, adaptable, and eager to learn in an evolving environment.
• Excited to learn, take on new challenges, and develop a long-term career within a growing organization.
• Able to think independently, contribute ideas, and approach problems analytically.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and communication skills.
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Word and Excel.
• Experience with Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or other AI tools is a plus.
• A team-player attitude, including a willingness to pivot as business needs change and assist others in meeting deadlines.
• Able to work 4 days per week at the Corporate Office in Acton, MA.
• Professional presentation in attire, demeanor, and appearance.
