What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gas Station Cashier position at The Pantry?
Looking primarily for weekend shifts and closes for an addition to our team!
Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service to all gas station customers
- Operate cash register and handle financial transactions accurately
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Monitor fuel levels and restock as needed
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning gas pumps and restocking supplies
- Assist customers with any questions or concerns they may have
- Conduct product demonstrations for new or promotional items
- Ensure compliance with safety and security procedures
Requirements:
- Previous experience in customer service or retail is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail transactions
- Proficient in using a cash register and other point-of-sale systems
- Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus
- Knowledge of wireless sales or technology sales is beneficial
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
