Assembly Technician

We are hiring experienced Assembly Technicians to help build large, complex equipment used in advanced inspection and security applications. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys mechanical assembly, wiring, troubleshooting, and working directly with engineering teams to bring sophisticated equipment to life.

In this role, you will work on large-scale scanner systems, connecting wiring, assembling mechanical components, interpreting technical drawings, and ensuring each system meets quality and safety standards.

Schedule: First shift, with flexible start times
Duration: 6-month contract, with potential for extension or permanent hire

What You’ll Do

• Assemble large electromechanical equipment, including mechanical components, cables, wiring, and electrical connections.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, engineering drawings, and assembly instructions.
• Install, connect, and torque components and assemblies to required specifications.
• Perform hands-on tasks such as drilling, tapping, reaming, and crimping.
• Inspect assemblies, perform crimp pull tests, and help resolve production issues.
• Work with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot challenges and recommend improvements.
• Follow online work instructions, maintain accurate production records, and verify bills of materials.
• Help manage inventory, organize work priorities, and support on-time product delivery.
• Assist with training and guiding other assemblers when needed.
• Follow established quality standards and safety procedures, including when working outdoors or at heights.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Approximately 3 years of manufacturing or assembly experience.
• Strong mechanical assembly experience, preferably working with large equipment or complex electromechanical systems.
• Experience with wiring, cabling, crimping, and connecting mechanical and electrical components.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable working on large structures, lifting heavy components, and using ladders or manlifts when required.
• A positive, team-oriented attitude and commitment to quality and safety.
• Experience with industrial equipment, automation systems, large machinery, or complex equipment integration is especially valuable.
