Activities Assistant
Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Activities Assistant to join our team at The Palms at Sebring, a premier senior living community in Sebring, Florida. As an Activities Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a vibrant and engaging lifestyle for our residents. You will plan, organize, and implement a wide range of activities, programs, and events that cater to their interests and needs.
Responsibilities:
Plan and execute daily activities, including games, outings, and entertainment programs
Develop and maintain relationships with residents, staff, and community partners to ensure a strong network of support
Collaborate with the Activities Director to design and implement activity programs that meet the needs of our diverse resident population
Coordinate and supervise activities, including assisting with set-up, cleaning, and breakdown
Develop and maintain activity calendars, reports, and records
Conduct resident assessments to identify interests and abilities, and develop individualized activity plans accordingly
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized activity space
Participate in resident services and programs, including transportation, meal delivery, and social events
Requirements:
2 years of experience in a senior living or activities setting preferred
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Basic knowledge of senior living and community needs
Ability to lift, bend, and move as needed to assist with activities and daily living tasks
High school diploma or equivalent required
