After School Program Site Director for The Village, a program of The Outing Club
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated After School Program Site Director to work with The Outing Club Village team to lead and manage one of our three NH state licensed after-school program sites. In this position, you will play a crucial role in creating a safe, engaging, and welcoming environment for children attending the program. Your leadership and organizational skills will be instrumental in coordinating various activities, leading staff, and fostering positive relationships with students, parents, and the community. The ideal candidate will be self motivated, with strong communication skills, and an enthusiasm for working with kids.
Responsibilities:
Program Management:
- Assist with the development and implementation of a well-rounded after-school program that aligns with the organization's mission, goals, and values.
- Plan and schedule daily activities, ensuring a balanced mix of academic support, recreational activities, and opportunities for connection..
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making necessary adjustments to enhance the overall experience for participants.
Provide ongoing support and guidance to staff, assisting with regular performance evaluations and addressing any concerns or issues in partnership with the Village Program Manager.
- Foster a collaborative and positive team environment to maximize staff productivity and job satisfaction.
Student Engagement:
- Create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all students, encouraging active participation in program activities.
- Promote a culture of respect, kindness, and empathy, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for children to thrive.
Family, Caregiver, and School Relations:
- Maintain open and regular communication with parents/guardians, keeping them informed of program activities and their child's progress.
- Communicate with school officials and key stakeholders regarding necessary program information.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure strict adherence to all safety guidelines and protocols, prioritizing the well-being of students and staff at all times.
- Comply with all relevant regulations and licensing requirements, maintaining accurate records and documentation as necessary.
Position Requirements: (As Required by the State of NH Child Care Licensing Regulations)
- Be at least 20 years of age
- Have an associates degree in education OR
- a high school diploma or GED with experience working with children totaling at least 1000 hours with a Para 2 certification or 12 child development credits
- OR
- 2000 hours documentation of being enrolled in a child development course and a plan to obtain 6 child development credits within 12 months of hire.
- Ability to pass a background check
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: $18-$24 per hour, wage determination based on experience with youth and education level
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 2:30-5:30

Physical Requirements
- Ability to move throughout indoor and outdoor athletic facilities and community event spaces.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to stand, walk, and remain active during games, tournaments, events, and member tours.
