Founded in 1892, by Frank Osborn who authored the popular engineering handbook Osborn’s Tables of Moments of Inertia and Squares of Radii of Gyration, which featured working strengths of steel members, timber beams and columns, and standard loads, unit stresses and constants for a variety of structures. Osborn Engineering is seeking a Senior Structural Designer with 7 years' experience for our Columbus office location who will report to the Director of Structural Engineering. The ideal candidate would have working knowledge of Revit and Structural design in the Consulting Engineering environment.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
- Proficient with Revit and AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with Revit families and Autodesk dynamic blocks a plus.
DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES
- Setting up Revit Models or AutoCAD projects.
- Preparing foundations plans, floor, and roof framing plans.
- Pick up redline markups, Arch/Owner model changes.
- Performing clash detection to identify problem areas.
- Manage multiple projects at various stages in production.
- Knowledge of detailing is a plus.
- Excellent organizations and communication skills
