Using excellent customer service and communications skills, your primary duties in this role include:
- Primarily responsible for preparing GAAP basis financial statements, managing the annual financial statement audit, and preparing financial covenant calculations for bank compliance.
- Providing modified cash basis financial reporting to external tax accountants for preparation of tax returns, managing annual retirement plan audits, and assisting with additional projects, including the preparation of the annual central administration budget and property tax filings.
- Prepares journal entries for GAAP basis financial statements using modified cash basis financial statements as a starting point.
- Manages the annual financial statement audit.
- Leads and coordinates efforts to improve structure, content and accuracy of financial statements and supporting financial reports for internal customers.
- Prepares and communicates to bank financial covenant calculations for bank compliance.
- Provides modified cash basis financial reporting to external tax accountants for preparation of tax returns.
- Manages annual retirement plan audits, including the 401k audit and the cash balance plan audit.
- Assists with projects including the preparation of the annual central administration budget, property tax filings, and other Finance department projects as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Salary:
Hiring range, based on experience and credentials: $105,672.00 - $158,508.00
Workdays: This role is remote. Must live in the Portland or SW Washington area. Typical hours are Monday-Friday, (8:00 am-5:00 pm PST)
Qualifications that support success in this role are based on education, experience and values including:
- BS/BA in Accounting is required. CPA is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years prior experience in accounting is required, including 2 years working in financial statement audit services for a public accounting firm.
- Strong working knowledge of financial statement preparation on both the basis of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the modified cash basis.
- Strong working knowledge of basic information technology/computer applications, Excel and other MS Office software.
- Skilled in budget preparation.
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly and in lay terms.
- Ability to comply with all applicable safety/OSHA procedures and requirements.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians and other team members.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, complete work timely and accurately, work ethically and with integrity, and display original thinking and creativity.
