Job Summary
Full Time-Monday-Friday 8:15-1:45
- Co-teach with Special Education Teacher to provide classroom instruction.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Co-teach with Special Education Teacher to provide classroom instruction.
- Communicate the needs of your students during child study and make appropriate recommendations.
- Attend Parent Conferences to discuss child’s recommendations.
- Attend official CSE/CPSE meetings on your children when requested.
- Keep children’s daily attendance records
- Attend all school meetings, in service training and workshops during the year, day or evening as part of your job requirement.
- Supervise classroom staff and prepare their Evaluation in December and the end of the school year.
- Monitor T.A.’s work with the children and prepare T/A Evaluation at the end of the school year.
- Follow the School’s Curriculum Guide using the New York State Core Standards and keep a Weekly Plan Book which explains activities for each day.
- Maintain appropriate certification for your position.
- Compliance with all medical requirements.
Qualifications and Skills
New York State Certified Early Childhood Education-Birth-grade 2 or equivalent
