Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
- Provide knowledgeable answers to customer inquiries regarding products and services.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions and returns.
- Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales floor by stocking shelves and ensuring product displays are well-presented.
- Utilize retail math skills to assist with inventory management, pricing, and sales reporting.
- Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer experience and increase sales.
- Supervise junior staff members as needed, providing guidance on best practices in customer service and store operations.
- Uphold phone etiquette when handling customer calls or inquiries, ensuring professionalism at all times.
- Assist in training new employees on store policies, procedures, and product knowledge.
Experience
- Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong phone etiquette skills for effective communication with customers.
- Basic math skills necessary for handling transactions and inventory management.
- Experience with POS systems is a plus.
