Our client, a top global law firm is seeking a full-time Senior Manager of Global Payroll Systems for the NY office.
Minimum 10 years of progressive payroll experience, including leadership in complex organizations.
Experience with ADP platforms (e.g., Workforce Now, GlobalView)
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Payroll Systems & Integration
- Own and optimize payroll systems architecture across Workday, ADP, and HRIS platforms.
- Lead system implementations, enhancements, and integrations impacting payroll, benefits, and finance data flows.
- Partner cross-functionally with HRIS, IT, and Finance to ensure seamless, scalable system functionality.
- Serve as the functional lead for payroll-related system initiatives and issue resolution.
Data Integrity, Controls & Reporting
- Design and implement robust payroll controls, validation checks, and audit processes.
- Develop and maintain Workday reporting frameworks to validate:
- Payroll elections and deductions
- Compensation and charge allocations
- W-2 and year-end reporting data
- Ensure end-to-end data accuracy across systems, minimizing manual adjustments.
- Lead reconciliations between payroll, benefits, and the general ledger.
Process Automation & Operational Efficiency
- Drive automation of payroll and related workflows to reduce reliance on email and manual processes.
- Standardize and streamline processes including:
- Onboarding and offboarding payroll activities
- Payroll tax form intake and validation
- Salary advances, Reimbursements, and Overtime
- Vacation and termination payouts
- Implement scalable, system-driven workflows within Workday and integrated tools.
Payroll Compliance Systems
- Oversee payroll across multi-state U.S. jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Provide governance and oversight of international payroll operations, including vendor coordination.
- Maintain strong knowledge of wage and hour laws, payroll taxation, and reporting requirements.

- Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Finance or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive payroll experience, including leadership in complex organizations.
- Demonstrated success in payroll transformation, systems implementation, and automation.
- Experience with Workday Payroll and reporting, HRIS integrations and payroll data architecture
- Strong understanding of payroll controls, data validation, and system workflows
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in professional services or law firm environments.
- Experience with ADP platforms (e.g., Workforce Now, GlobalView)
Salary : $180,000 - $200,000
