Responsibilities
- Thoroughly wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold health and safety standards
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling ingredients, or portioning foods under supervision
- Maintain cleanliness in food prep areas, including counters, sinks, and storage spaces
- Support catering and banquet setups by organizing supplies and ensuring timely delivery of prepared items
- Busing tables and clearing plates during service to facilitate smooth operations
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene compliance
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to support overall food service operations during busy periods
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant, hotel, or catering environments is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
- Knowledge of basic cleaning procedures and food handling safety standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting or moving supplies
