What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infant Daycare Teacher position at The Olde Schoolhouse?
If you love working with infants we have the perfect opportunity for you to join our team! As an Infant Teacher you will provide a nurturing and safe environment for infants to develop and reach age appropriate milestones through creative daily lesson plans. It is important for you to be a team player who can communicate effectively with parents and co-workers. A GED or H.S. diploma is required. Early Childhood courses or a Plan of Study are required to qualify as a Lead Infant Teacher. Each candidate must submit a OCFS background check.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the developmental needs of infants.
- Provide need based care, manage classroom activities, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children.
- Foster effective communication with parents regarding their child's progress and well-being.
- Support early childhood education initiatives, including curriculum development and behavior management strategies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance educational practices and promote a positive learning atmosphere.
- Monitor and assess children's growth and development, adapting teaching methods as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom.
