Overnight Security/Front Desk Position
Maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and residents during the overnight shift. This position ensures that all hotel policies and procedures are followed and provides a high level of customer service to guests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Patrols property premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
- Responds to guest and employee safety concerns and investigates incidents as needed.
- Conduct regular safety checks and ensures that all safety equipment is functioning property.
- Responds to emergency situations such as fire alarms, medical emergencies and natural disasters.
- Completes detailed reports of all incidents and maintains accurate records.
- Minor maintenance tasks as assigned by Chief Engineer.
- Light housekeeping tasks as assigned by Operations Manager.
- Greets/interacts with guests in an efficient and friendly manner.
- Answer telephones promptly and courteously. Route calls appropriately.
- Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel services, local information, and travel information.
- Ensure special guest requests are noted, communicated, and fulfilled.
- Manage and resolve all guest complaints and problems in a professional, courteous and timely manner.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities
- Keep work area neat and organized.
- Conduct self in a professional manner at all times.
- Maintain a safe working environment and immediately report all unsafe conditions.
- Maintain a good working relationship with all departments.
- Comply with all policies and procedures set forth by the Employee Handbook.

Qualifications

- Education and/or Experience – High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Language Skills – Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Reasoning Ability – Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Computer Skills – To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of reservation systems; spreadsheet software and word processing software.
Physical Demands

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
