What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vice President of Sales position at The ODA Group?
The ODA Group is a direct-hire staffing firm based in Dallas. One of our clients, a growing company in the paint finishing industry, based in Carrollton, is seeking a VP of Sales. The is an excellent opportunity to take over from someone near retirement to manage and grow an already successful business. The VP of Sales will:
- Identify and pursue new account opportunities across the architectural and commercial construction supply chain, including fabricators, glazing contractors, general contractors, and specification-driven project work
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through contract, with accountability for pipeline development and close rates
- Manage and grow an existing portfolio of Company accounts, building relationships at multiple levels within each customer organization
- Serve as the senior commercial point of contact for key accounts, responsible for satisfaction, issue resolution, and revenue retention
- Contribute to company-level revenue strategy in partnership with the COO and ownership
- Provide ongoing market intelligence, including competitive pricing, customer trends, and specification activity, to inform business decisions

Requirements:
- Substantive experience in liquid paint, powder coating, or surface finishing — or significant experience selling to or purchasing from finishing operations within the architectural construction supply chain
- An established network of relevant contacts among architectural fabricators, commercial general contractors, curtain wall contractors, or glazing firms in Texas or the Southeast
- 8 years experience managing both new business development and an existing account portfolio simultaneously
Salary : $130,000 - $150,000
