The ODA Group is partnering with a privately held, growing commercial real estate investment firm in the Uptown Dallas area to hire a Senior Accountant. This is a high-visibility role with a strong track record of success – the CEO has been recognized by EY as a top entrepreneur.
Compensation is very competitive: base salary is above market, with a bonus target of 20 % (last year paid out at 45%) and the opportunity to co-invest in select funds. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to fast-track their career, gain broad exposure, and grow with the firm, with a quick path to a Manager title for strong performers.
What you’ll do
- Manage and maintain all aspects of the general ledger.
- Partner closely with internal teams, providing financial insights that support decision-making, strategic planning, and business growth.
- Monitor and analyze financial data, identify trends and variances, and recommend improvements to enhance financial performance.
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions and compliance with US GAAP and relevant regulations.
- Support preparation of tax filings and collaborate with external tax advisors by providing data and reviewing filings they prepare.
What you bring
- 3–6 years of total accounting experience, including at least 1 year in public accounting (audit/assurance).
- CPA or active CPA candidate.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
