The Obstinate Daughter is seeking energetic, hospitality-driven Seasonal Servers to join our team on Sullivan’s Island for the busy summer season. We are looking for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while delivering exceptional guest experiences with professionalism and personality.
Located just outside Charleston, The Obstinate Daughter is proud to be recognized on the Michelin Guide Recommended list and is known for its ingredient-driven cuisine, elevated service standards, and vibrant atmosphere.
This seasonal position offers the opportunity to transition into a permanent part-time role based on performance, reliability, and business needs.

Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive service to all guests
- Guide guests through food, wine, cocktail, and menu selections
- Maintain strong understanding of menus, daily features, and allergens
- Accurately enter orders using the POS system
- Deliver food and beverages efficiently and professionally
- Anticipate guest needs and provide proactive hospitality
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas
- Complete opening, running, and closing sidework
- Communicate effectively with kitchen, bar, hosts, and management
- Uphold all service standards and restaurant policies
- Assist teammates to ensure smooth service flow during high-volume shifts
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant serving experience preferred
- Fine dining or upscale casual experience is a plus
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Ability to remain composed under pressure
- Reliable transportation and punctuality required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Toast POS is a huge plus
- Familiarity with Resy is a plus
- Wine and cocktail knowledge preferred
