What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hotel- Front Desk Associate position at The Oaks Hotel?
Looking for candidates who are willing to learn and advance themselves in the work place. The Oaks Hotel is building a strong team and need strong members to achieve this goal! In order to succeed at this position, you must be proficient in English and be able to read, write and speak fluently. You will be required to use a computer with basic office software including but not limited to excel, word and are further required to type on the computer while making reservations either in person or via the phone. You will be in direct contact with guests from all over the world, who will be visiting the beautiful Paso Robles area. Must maintain composure in the face of adversity including when guests have complaints.
As a front desk associate, you will:
- Provide a critical first impression to our guests while delivering exceptional service
- Welcome and serve guests in person and over the phone, going out of your way to assist the guests as much as possible
- Enjoy solving problems
- Be comfortable using a computer to check guests in and out
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and confidently
- Resolve guest complaints and assist guests in all inquiries in connection with hotel services, directions, and local attractions
- Remain calm and alert especially during emergency situations and heavy hotel activity
- Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis;
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
- Be courteous and respectful to all guests and other employees
