SIGN MAINTENANCE

Business Title:
- Sign Maintenance Technician

Job Purpose:
- To install, maintain, and repair a variety of signs, ensuring their functionality, safety, and aesthetic appeal. This includes troubleshooting electrical and structural issues, performing preventative maintenance, and adhering to all safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Install new signs, including electrical connections, mounting hardware, and structural supports.
- Perform routine maintenance on existing signs, such as cleaning, replacing bulbs, and repairing minor damage.
- Troubleshoot electrical problems, identify faulty components, and perform necessary repairs.
- Conduct structural inspections of signs and supporting structures to ensure safety and stability.
- Respond to service calls and address sign malfunctions promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and materials used.
- Adhere to all relevant safety regulations and procedures when working with electrical components and at heights.
- Manage inventory of sign materials, tools, and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams regarding sign maintenance and repair projects.
- Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and new technologies related to sign maintenance.

Preferred Education/Skills:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, 04-Journeyman electrical license. 

- 5 years experience as installer or service technician

- CDL license

- Welding experience

- Operate a crane/bucket truck (manual transmission)
- Experience with electrical wiring and troubleshooting.
- Experience working with various sign types, including neon, LED, and channel letters.
- Experience using hand and power tools related to sign installation and repair.

Required Skills and Abilities:
- Extremely trustworthy and have a positive attitude, with well with others and have an eye for detail.
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record. 
- Ability to work at heights using ladders, lifts, and scaffolding.
- Must be mechanically inclined and be able to use hand/power tools and tape measures.
- May be required to stand 80% of the workday. 
- Willing to do a diversity of tasks in and out of the shop when required.
- General construction knowledge.
- Must be able to complete labor intensive work repeatedly, including lifting 50 lbs., climbing ladders, etc. 
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

- Outstanding customer service skills. 

- Must be able to work well under pressure and solve problems. 

- Experienced in a fast-paced, high productive work environment.
