Role Description
An attorney with a minimum of 5-years experience and the ability to manage cases from inception through resolution. Self-motivation and the ability to collaborate with support staff is a must.
Duties
- Be proficient in negotiating settlements with adjusters & attorneys.
- Prepare clients for depositions.
- Oversee and coordinate the workflow of paralegals and support staff.
- Monitor case progress and send timely reminders to support staff, ensuring that assignments are completed on schedule and key milestones are achieved.
- Support paralegals by identifying and resolving obstacles that may impede task completion.
- Maintain open and effective communication with clients, providing them with updates and guidance.
Qualifications
- Strong background in Law, with a focus on Personal Injury and Labor and Employment Law
- Proficiency in providing Legal Advice and advocacy for clients
- Proven Negotiation skills, including the ability to liaise with insurance companies and other parties to secure favorable outcomes
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to maintain effective client relationships
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and a member in good standing of the New York State Bar
- Experience in personal injury litigation or similar legal fields is preferred
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and the ability to manage multiple cases effectively
