About Us
Located in Baltimore, The New Century School is a small, private school serving preschool through 8th grade. We are committed to fostering curiosity, creativity, and independence through Montessori principles and project-based learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain an authentic Montessori Primary classroom.
- Guide children in their academic, social, and emotional development.
- Prepare and maintain a beautiful, engaging, and organized learning environment.
- Collaborate with the administration and other educators to support the school’s mission.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on student progress.
- Communicate effectively with families to foster a strong school-home partnership.
Qualifications
- Experience working in a Montessori environment, preferably as a lead guide.
- Montessori teaching certification, or active enrollment with substantial progress in an accredited program
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to foster children's independence.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- A deep understanding of Montessori philosophy and a commitment to its principles.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with preschool children
