What are the responsibilities and job description for the Camp Program Director position at The New Century School?
Love working with kids and leading teams? We’re looking for an enthusiastic Camp Program Director to run our exciting summer camp programs!
What You’ll Do:
- Lead daily operations and keep our summer camp running smoothly
- Ensure every camper stays safe, happy, and engaged
- Support and schedule our amazing staff
- Communicate with families and solve problems with a positive attitude
- Manage check-in, dismissal, attendance, and fun weekly activities (including water days!)
- Use CampDoc to handle rosters, notifications, and reports
Who We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with children in camps, schools, or youth programs
- Strong organizational and people skills
- A team player who stays calm and positive under pressure
- Comfortable learning CampDoc and following Maryland camp rules
- Background checks required
Schedule & Perks:
- Full-time during active camp weeks (June–August)
- Flexible hours in May and mid-August for training and wrap-up
- Make a real difference in kids’ summers while gaining valuable leadership experience
