Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide personalized assistance to help them select suitable cannabis products based on their preferences and needs
- Educate customers on product effects, dosage, consumption methods, and legal regulations to promote responsible use
- Operate POS systems efficiently for transactions, ensuring accuracy in sales processing and inventory management
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation procedures throughout the store, including cleaning displays, workstations, and storage areas in compliance with food safety standards
- Monitor stock levels, restock shelves as needed, and assist with inventory counts to ensure product availability
- Follow all food safety management protocols to uphold hygiene standards and prevent contamination
- Assist in maintaining a safe environment by adhering to security procedures and reporting any suspicious activity or safety concerns
Requirements
- Previous experience in customer service roles, preferably within retail or restaurant environments that emphasize hospitality and communication skills
- Knowledge of sanitation procedures, food safety management practices, and POS systems is highly desirable
- Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service with active listening skills and a friendly demeanor
- Ability to follow detailed instructions related to food safety standards and legal compliance for cannabis sales
- Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work flexible hours including evenings and weekends if required
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications related to food safety or retail operations are a plus
