Part-Time Nanny / Mother’s Helper in Woodstock, GA
Location: Woodstock, Georgia, 30188
Start: ASAP
Children: Girl - 1.5 Years
Compensation: $30-$35/hr
Schedule: Schedule: Monday–Thursday 8:30 AM - 1:30 PM OR 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM. Approximately 5 hours per day (start time flexible between 8:30–9:00am).
Description:
A warm, outgoing family in Woodstock is seeking a nurturing and engaging nanny to care for their bright, loving toddler. This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced caregiver who loves music, movement, and gentle, connection-based care!
- Their daughter was recently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and they are hoping to find a wonderful nanny that is comfortable managing her diabetes.
Position Details
- Child: One delightful toddler who is social, smart, and full of personality. She loves dancing, music, animals, and exploring outdoors.
- Environment: Parents are home during the day and value a collaborative, team approach. The family practices gentle parenting and maintains a mostly screen-free home.
- Pets: Four calm, friendly cats (no care required).
Duties
- Provide attentive, loving care and engaging, age-appropriate activities that support developmental milestones.
- Assist with daily routines including snacks/meals, diapering, and nap time.
- Light household tasks such as tidying play areas, loading/unloading the dishwasher, and cleaning up after meals.
- Maintain open communication with parents and support gentle, respectful discipline and redirection.
Agency & Family Requirements
- Must be comfortable supporting the child’s Type 1 diabetes management, including basic monitoring and care once trained by parents. Parents will always be present to answer questions and provide guidance. Prior experience not a requirement but is a !
- Minimum Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional nanny experience.
- Certifications: Current Infant/Child CPR & First Aid certification.
- Background: Clear federal, multi-state, and driving background checks.
- Health & Safety: Up-to-date vaccinations including MMR, TDAP, and COVID-19.
- Non-smoker
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Fluent in English
- Swedish Speaking a huge plus but NOT a requirement
Rate & Benefits
- Hourly Rate: $30–$35/hr, based on experience and qualifications.
- Guaranteed Hours: 20 per week.
- Paid Time Off: 1 week of PTO after 2 months (accrued).
- Paid Holidays: Standard paid holidays.
- Mileage Reimbursement: $0.70/mile for any work-related driving (if needed).
