**Out-of-state candidates are welcome to apply!**
A warm, outdoorsy Jackson family is seeking a long-term, live-in nanny to care for their energetic 9-month-old son and welcome a new baby arriving in May 2026. They hope to find their own Mary Poppins—someone loving, capable, and eager to grow with their family for years to come.
This active household spends nearly every day outside, from hikes to skiing in and around Grand Teton National Park. They hope to find a caregiver who will happily share in these adventures.
The ideal candidate will be excited to embrace mountain living, provide nurturing and developmentally focused care, and become a trusted part of the family as they grow from one child to two. An adventurous spirit, a love of the outdoors, and a readiness to thrive in all seasons of Jackson Hole are a must!
Position Overview
- Primary Care: Full-time care for their infant and light household management if time allows.
- Start Date: Candidate can start as early as late September. The family will spend November and December in San Francisco and return to Jackson on January 1, 2026.
They would love their nanny to travel with them during those 1.5-2 months, but for the right fit they can also offer a January 1, 2026 start date in Jackson.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide loving, developmentally focused care for an active infant and, eventually, a newborn.
- Plan daily outdoor adventures (hiking, skiing, Teton park outings, kayaking in summer, etc.).
- Prepare healthy meals and assist with family food prep.
- Manage child-related laundry, clothing organization, and light household tasks to keep the home running smoothly.
- Care for and walk the family’s friendly 90-lb dog (must be a true dog lover!).
- Travel with the family 1–3 months per year (primarily to San Francisco).
- Communicate clearly with parents and maintain professional boundaries while being warm and approachable.
Requirements
- Infant experience, including knowledge of developmental milestones.
- Experience with live-in or travel nanny roles.
- Outdoor enthusiast who skis (or is eager to learn) and enjoys an active lifestyle in all seasons.
- CPR/First Aid certified
- Able to legally work in the USA
- Fluent in English
- Up-to-date on routine vaccinations (flu required; COVID strongly preferred).
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (family car provided).
- Nonsmoker & drug-free
- Professional, drama-free demeanor with excellent communication skills.
Benefits
- Competitive hourly rate of $30-$40/hr (depending on experience)
- Private 2-bedroom, 1.5-bath duplex next door to the main house
- Guaranteed 40 hours per week with overtime opportunities
- Paid holidays, sick days, and PTO of 2 weeks (flexible for the right candidate)
- Family vehicle for work use and personal use
- Travel opportunities to San Francisco and other destinations
- Health insurance stipend negotiable
