What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cafe / Retail Team Member position at The National Medal of Honor Museum Foundation?
Role Summary
As a Cafe and Retail (Gift Shop) team member, you will assist guests at the National Medal of Honor Museum with quick serve cafe orders and retail/gift shop purchases.
Pay and Benefits:
- Hourly pay: $15.00/hr
- Part-time and full-time positions available

Essential Functions
- Take food and drink orders using the POS system.
- Serve grab-and-go cafe menu items to guests.
- Make coffee and drinks as ordered.
- Serve as retail cashier for museum gift shop.
- Monitor and restock items for the cafe and gift shop as needed.
- Keep cafe and retail area clean.
- Serve guests in the outdoor cafe seating area as needed.
- Participate in weekly inventory process.
- All other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Prior experience in hospitality a plus.
- Prior experience as a barista a plus.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
- Must be able to obtain Texas Food Handlers license within 14 days of start date.
- Must be able to obtain TABC Certification.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand, sit, and walk for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift 25lbs regularly.
