Duties

• Greet customers warmly and take their orders with enthusiasm, ensuring accuracy and efficiency usingToast POS
• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, beverages, and light food items while maintaining food safety and proper food handling procedures.
• Operate cash registers, handle cash and card transactions accurately, and perform cashiering duties with attention to detail in retail math and cash handling.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations, seating areas, and equipment to ensure a safe and inviting environment.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods by prioritizing tasks such as serving customers promptly, restocking supplies, and assisting team members as needed.
• Uphold food safety standards by following proper food handling protocols and adhering to health regulations at all times.
• Support sales initiatives by engaging with customers to promote menu items and upsell products to enhance their experience.

Qualifications

• Previous food and/or coffee experience is required; familiarity with café operations is a plus.
• Experience with POS systems such as Toast
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and transaction processing.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
• Excellent time management skills to balance multiple tasks efficiently during shifts.
