A busy and loving family is looking for a reliable, engaging after-school nanny to care for their three children (ages 10, 9, and 3) starting in September (flexible start date). This is a long-term position, Monday through Thursday from 3:00pm to 7:30pm, with 20 guaranteed hours per week. Pay is $30/hr, plus benefits including paid vacation, paid sick/personal days, paid major holidays, and mileage reimbursement (paid via W2).
Responsibilities include school/camp pickups, safe driving to activities, supporting after-school routines (snacks, homework help, reading, and play), prepping and serving healthy dinners, organizing for the next day (school forms, uniforms, sports gear), and occasional morning help 1–2 times a month when mom travels (paid additionally).
Ideal candidates have 3 years of professional childcare experience, are CPR/First Aid certified, legally authorized to work in the U.S., and have a reliable vehicle, clean driving record, and a warm, organized approach to managing busy afternoons. Experience with booster seats and comfort with light housekeeping and meal prep is also important. Must live within 30 minutes of Montclair, NJ.
