Rate:$17.00 Per Hour
40 Hour Week: Monday through Friday
Position Summary:
Full time position with duties including cleaning and detail work on band and orchestra musical instruments, cases, and accessories; making occasional pickups and deliveries in a company vehicle; and other duties as needed.
Cleaner Duties:
· Cleaning and polishing musical instruments after they have been serviced by a repair technician.
· Cleaning, vacuuming, and detailing instrument cases.
· Washing, scrubbing, and rinsing instruments and instrument parts.
· Operating a buffing wheel to buff and polish instrument parts and keys.
· Performing minor repairs on instrument cases.
· Cleaning mouthpieces. Disassembling, washing, scrubbing, drying, assembling, and bagging mouthpieces.
· Operating an ultrasonic cleaner in the cleaning of instruments and instrument parts.
· Maintaining specified levels of accessories and supplies at the cleaning bench.
· Notifying Service Department leaders of unsafe equipment, tools, or conditions.
· Assisting in moving instruments, parts, accessories, and supplies throughout the service department.
· Following safety standards of the Service Department.
· Driving a company van safely and legally.
Skills and Abilities
· Familiarity with musical instruments preferred (but not required).
· Organized and punctual.
· Excellent attention to detail.
· Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Physical Demand & Work Effort
· Must be able to perform repetitive motions for extended periods of time.
· Must be able to comply with company attendance standards.
